Who We Are

Camping, but make it about community.

Camp With MHE started as a small group chat planning weekend getaways out of Kampala — and grew into a community of people who keep showing up for the next trip.

We scout the sites, sort the logistics, bring the gear list down to "just you and a backpack," and handle everything from bonfires to bush breakfasts. You show up, we set the scene.

Where It All Started

Before the trail had a name, there were the seasons that built the crew. Every photo below is from a past edition.

Escape from Maturity

14–15 Feb 2020 · Nile Discovery Beach, Njeru–Jinja

The first edition. Tents on the riverbank, board games and Ludo all afternoon, and a bonfire that ran long into the night — the weekend that proved a group chat could become a tradition.

Escape Game, 2nd Edition — Escape from Lockdown

2021 · Jinja, on the Nile

A bigger crowd, a bigger camp. Hand-painted "I escaped lockdown" boards, PlayStation under the trees, swims in the river and sunsets over the dam — the season everyone needed after a long year indoors.
